Abstract

El invento describe una silla de ruedas automatizada que utiliza una interfaz cerebro-maquina para captar las senales electricas cerebrales del usuario. Se utiliza la tecnica SSVEP para interpretar las senales captadas y determinar cual es la intencion del usuario. El usuario manifiesta su intencion mediante la concentracion en un estimulo visual determinado, dentro de un panel de estimulos visuales que le permiten al paciente elegir entre un conjunto de opciones mostradas en una pantalla. Mediante la interfaz cerebro-maquina y la tecnica SSVEP el usuario es capaz de controlar un manipulador robotico acoplado a la silla de ruedas. Por otro lado, el usuario controla el desplazamiento de la silla de ruedas electrica mediante movimientos cervicales, los cuales son captados por sensores de movimiento ubicados en la cabeza.
