Abstract

Se describe una turbina flotante (10), que puede desplazarse sobre una guia (20) sustancialmente orientada verticalmente, de modo que la turbina (10) puede moverse hacia abajo a lo largo de la guia (20) bajo la fuerza gravitacional. El equipo de la turbina (10) es de flotabilidad negativa para facilitar que se hunda, pero esta provisto ademas de medios de flotacion ajustables para permitir que a la disposicion de la turbina se le imparta una flotabilidad positiva cuando sea necesario. Cuando se imparte una flotabilidad positiva, el equipo de la turbina (10) flota de vuelta en la guia de orientacion vertical (20) bajo la fuerza de flotacion. Cuando se mueve hacia abajo, la guia (20) en virtud de la gravedad, y de vuelta de la guia (20) bajo la fuerza de flotabilidad, se genera una corriente artificial efectiva por el movimiento a traves de las palas de la turbina, girando las palas, que a su vez hace que un generador produzca electricidad, tipicamente mediante engranajes adecuados
