Abstract

AL MENOS CON RESPECTO A LA GENERACION DE CALOR Y LIXIVIACION DE MINERALES PRIMARIOS DE SULFURO DE COBRE, POR MONITOREO Y CONTROL ACTIVO DE LOS COMPUESTOS INORGANICOS Y ORGANICOS EN LA SOLUCION DE RAFINADO PRODUCIDA EN EL PROCESO, A NIVELES INFERIORES A LOS QUE PODRIAN SER INHIBIDORES DE LA ACTIVIDAD MICROBIANA DE LAS CEPAS BIO-LIXIVIADORAS USADAS EN EL PROCESO. LA CONCENTRACION TOTAL DE SALES EN LA SOLUCION DE RAFINADO SE REDUCE POR DILUCION, PRECIPITACION U OSMOSIS REVERSA O POR COMBINACION DE ESAS TECNICAS. LA BIO-LIXIVIACION SE EFECTUA EN UN REACTOR O EN UNA PILA. EL MONITOREO DEL CONTENIDO DE ORGANICOS SE SELECCIONA DE: a) DETECCION MICROSCOPICA DE LAS CONCENTRACIONES DE CELULAS EN LA SOLUCION DE LICOR CARGADA; b) BIO-ENSAYOS PARA MONITOREAR LAS TASAS DE CRECIMIENTO DE LA OXIDACION DE AZUFRE Y/O HIERRO DE LOS MICROBIOS BIO-LIXIVIADORES; Y, c) TECNICAS DE RESPIROMETRIA PARA DETECTAR LAS TASAS DE CONSUMO DE OXIGENO Y/O DIOXIDO DE CARBONO, COMO INDICADORES DE LA ACTIVIDAD MICROBIANA. LA SOLUCION DE LICOR CARGADA, PRODUCIDA EN EL PROCESO, SE SOMETE A UNA FASE DE RECUPERACION DEL METAL Y SE CONTROLA PARA REDUCIR EL CONTENIDO DE COMPUESTOS ORGANICOS. SE EMPLEAN TECNICAS DE EXTRACCION POR SOLVENTES EN DICHA FASE Y PARA LA REDUCCION SE USAN COMPUESTOS ORGANICOS NO-INHIBIDORES EN DICHA EXTRACCION
