Abstract

container system B having two containers B1, B3 which in an initial state are fluidically separated from one another and can be fluidically connected by a relative movement of the containers B1, B3. Initially a securing device 52 prevents the relative movement of the containers B1, B3 to one another. The container system B comprises a receptacle 53 for the securing device 52, in which the securing device 52 can be accommodated as a result of or during the relative movement of the containers. The securing device 52 comprises, at least one blocking member 54 which initially blocks the relative movement of the containers to one another and is deformable or depressible in order allow the relative movement of the containers to one another. The receptacle 53 corresponds to the shape of the securing device 52, or vice versa. The securing device 52 is formed by a securing ring and the receptacle 53 is annular, so that the securing ring 52 can be partially, or predominantly accommodated in the receptacle 53 during, as a result of or after the release, as a result of the relative movement. The securing device prevent unwanted connection between the containers, and the receptacle allows for the accommodation of the securing device after it is actuated.

Claims (26)

WE CLAIM:
1. A container system having two containers which in an initial state are fluidically separated from one another and can be fluidically connected by a relative movement of the containers, wherein in an initial state a securing device prevents the relative movement of the containers to one another, wherein the container system comprises a receptacle for the securing device, in which the securing device can be accommodated as a result of or during said relative movement; wherein the securing device comprises, at least one blocking member which, in a starting position, blocks the relative movement of the containers to one another and is deformable or depressible in order allow the relative movement of the containers to one another, wherein the receptacle corresponds to the shape of the securing device, or vice versa, wherein the securing device is formed by a securing ring and the receptacle is annular, so that the securing ring can be partially, or predominantly, accommodated in the receptacle during, as a result of or after the release, as a result of the relative movement.
2. The container system according to claim 1, wherein the securing device extends into or is aligned with the receptacle in an axial direction with regard to or along the axis of symmetry or central axis of the container system.
3. The container system according to claims 1 or 2, wherein the receptacle is formed by a wall, wall-like, collar-like or tube-like section of a connecting arrangement or extension of one of the containers.
4. The container system according to claims 1 or 2, wherein the receptacle is formed behind a wall, wall-like, collar-like or tube-like section of a connecting arrangement or extension of one of the containers.
5. The container system according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein, in the starting position the securing device is arranged between end faces/edges of the containers such that the edges are supported on one another via the securing device. MA MARK RKED ED- -UP UP COPY COPY
6. The container system according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the securing device is deformable at least in parts, thus enabling the relative movement.
7. The container system according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein by actuation of the securing device an interlocking engagement can be released, so that the containers are no longer supported on one another, thus allowing said relative movement.
8. The container system according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein in the initial state, the securing device blocks a linear relative movement of the containers to one another.
9. The container system according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein in the initial state, the securing device blocks an axial relative movement of the containers to one another.
10. The container system according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the blocking member comprises an edge or end face which forms the interlocking engagement and is radially movable to effect the release.
11. The container system according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the blocking member is moulded on at one end or formed in one piece with the securing device.
12. The container system according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the blocking member is of wing-like configuration.
13. The container system according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the securing device is ring-like or annular, and wherein the securing device is formed by a securing ring which is deformable at least partially or in parts for release.
14. The container system according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the securing device is formed from a plastic.
15. The container system according to claim 14 wherein the plastic is a thermoplastic material. MA MARK RKED ED- -UP UP COPY COPY
16. The container system according to any one of the preceding claims wherein the securing device is a plastic ring.

The container system according to claim 2, or any one claims 3 to 16 when dependent on claim 2, wherein, in the initial state the securing device is arranged between the containers such that the relative movement is blocked in the axial direction in relation or along to the central axis or axis of symmetry of the container system, and in that the axial relative movement can be enabled by partial deformation of the securing device radially in the direction of the central axis or axis of symmetry of the container system.

The container system according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the securing device is one or more of: (i) permanently held on the container system; (ii) non-releasably held on the container system; (iii) held on the container system such that it cannot be taken off; (iv) held on the container system on a tapered portion; (v) held on the container system by interlocking engagement; (vi) non-removeably held on the container system; and/or (vii) non-rotatably held on the container system.
19. The container system according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the receptacle for the securing device is pocket-like in shape.
20. A method for preparing a mixture of substances, wherein substances are provided separately from one another in two containers that can be fluidically connected to one another, wherein a receptacle is provided and a securing device, the security device prevents a relative movement of the containers to one another, is arranged between the containers and the securing device is actuated and as a result of the actuation and relative movement the securing device is pushed into the receptacle, wherein the securing device comprises, at least one blocking member which, in a starting position, blocks the relative movement of the containers to one another and is MA MARK RKED ED- -UP UP COPY COPY deformable or depressible in order to allow the relative movement of the containers to one another. wherein the receptacle corresponds to the shape of the securing device, or vice versa, wherein the securing device is formed by a securing ring and the receptacle is annular, so that the securing ring can be partially, or predominantly, accommodated in the receptacle during, as a result of or after the release, as a result of the relative movement.
21. The method of claim 20, wherein in an initial state where the containers are fluidically separated from one another, the securing device blocks a linear relative movement of the containers to one another.
22. The method of claim 20 or 21, wherein in an initial state where the containers are fluidically separated from one another, the securing device blocks an axial relative movement of the containers to one another.
23. The method for preparing a mixture of substances according to any one of claims 20 to 22, wherein the mixture of substances is a vaccine.
24. The method for preparing a mixture of substances according to claim 20 or claim 21 wherein the movement of the containers relative to one another is an axial relative movement in relation to or along a central axis or axis of symmetry of the container system.
25. The container system of any one of claims 1 to 19, substantially as described herein with reference to the figures and/or examples.
