Abstract

A heat pump water heater outdoor unit according to the present invention includes a box-shaped heat insulating material, and a water-refrigerant heat exchanger that is housed in the heat insulating material and heats water with a refrigerant, wherein the inner bottom portion of the heat insulating material has concavo-convex shape having a convex portion and a concave portion, a drainage hole penetrating the inner bottom portion is formed in the concave portion, and the water-refrigerant heat exchanger is placed on the convex portion. This bottom portion shape is to target corrosion of condensate on the heat exchanger.
