Abstract

The invention relates to a polymer film (P) comprising at least one copolyamide, the copolyamide being produced by polymerising at least one lactam (A) and a monomer mixture (M) consisting of at least one C32-C40 dimer acid (B1), at least one C4-C12 diamine (B2) and optionally at least one C4-C20 diacid (B3). The invention also relates to a method for producing the polymer film (P) and to the use of the polymer film (P) as a packaging film.

Claims (14)

Claims
1. A polymer film (P) comprising at least one copolyamide prepared by polymerizing the following components: (A) 15% to 84% by weight of at least one lactam, (B) 16% to 85% by weight of a monomer mixture (M) consisting of the following components: (B1) at least one C32 -C40 dimer acid, (B2) at least one C4-C12 diamine and (B3) optionally at least one C4-C20 diacid, where the percentages by weight of components (A) and (B) are each based on the sum 15 total of the percentages by weight of components (A) and (B), and component (B) comprises in the range from 45 to 55 mol% of component (B1) and in the range from 45 to 55 mol% of component (B2), based in each case on the total molar amount of component (B) or component (B) comprises in the range from 25 to 54.9 mol% of component (B1), in the range from 45 to 55 mol% of component (B2), and in the range 20 from 0.1 to 25 mol% of component (B3), based in each case on the total molar amount of component (B); n the copolyamide has a viscosity number in the range from 160 to 290 mL/g, determined in a 0.5% by weight solution of the copolyamide in a mixture of phenol/o- 25 dichlorobenzene in a weight ratio of 1:1.

The r film (P) according to claim 1, n component (A) is selected from the group consisting of 3-aminopropanolactam, obutanolactam, 5-aminopentanolactam, 6-aminohexanolactam, 7-aminoheptanolactam, 8-aminooctanolactam, 9-aminononanolactam, 10-aminodecanolactam, 30 11-aminoundecanolactam and 12-aminododecanolactam.
3. The polymer film (P) according to claim 1 or 2, wherein component (B2) is selected from the group consisting of tetramethylenediamine, pentamethylenediamine, 35 hexamethylenediamine, decamethylenediamine and dodecamethylenediamine.
4. The polymer film (P) ing to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein component (B1) is prepared proceeding from at least on rated fatty acid selected from the group consisting of unsaturated C16 fatty acids, unsaturated C18 fatty acids and unsaturated C20 40 fatty acids.
5. The polymer film (P) according to any one of claims 1 to 4, n the at least one copolyamide has a ity number in the range from 170 to 280 ml/g, determined in a 0.5% by weight on of the at least one copolyamide in a mixture of /odichlorobenzene in a weight ratio of 1:1.
6. The polymer film (P) according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the at least one copolyamide has a glass transition temperature (TG(C) ), where the glass transition 5 ature (TG(C) ) is in the range from 20 to 50°C, determined accor ding to ISO 11357-2:2014.
7. The polymer film (P) ing to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the at least one copolyamide has a melting temperature (TM(C) ), where the melting temperature (TM(C) ) is 10 in the range from 150 to 210°C, determined according to ISO 11357-3:2014.

The polymer film (P) according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the polymer film (P) comprises at least one first layer comprising the at least one copolyamide, and the polymer film (P) comprises at least one further layer, where the at least one further layer 15 comprises at least one further polymer (FP) selected from the group consisting of polyolefins, poly(ethylene-vinyl ls), poly(ethylene-vinyl acetates), polyethylene terephthalates, polyvinylidene chlorides and maleic anhydride-grafted polyolefins.
9. The polymer film (P) according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the polymer film (P) 20 is produced in a casting process, in a blowing process, in a biaxially oriented polyamide film process or in multifilm blowing process.
10. The polymer film (P) according to any one of claims 1 to 9, wherein the polymer film (P) 25 has a thickness in the range from 0.1 µm to 1 mm.
11. The polymer film (P) according to any one of claims 1 to 10, wherein the at least one copolyamide is a random mer.

A process for producing the polymer film (P) according to any one of claims 1 to 11, 30 comprising the steps of i) providing at least one copolyamide prepared by polymerizing the following components: (A) 15% to 84% by weight of at least one , (B) 16% to 85% by weight of a monomer mixture (M) consisting of the following components: (B1) at least one C32 -C40 dimer acid, (B2) at least one C4-C12 diamine and (B3) optionally at least one C4-C20 diacid, where the percentages by weight of ents (A) and (B) are each based on the sum total of the tages by weight of components (A) and (B), and component (B) comprises in the range from 45 to 55 mol% of component (B1) and in the range from 45 to 55 mol% of component (B 2), based in each case on 5 the total molar amount of component (B) or component (B) comprises in the range from 25 to 54.9 mol% of component (B1), in the range from 45 to 55 mol% of component (B2), and in the range from 0.1 to 25 mol% of component (B3), based in each case on the total molar amount of component (B); wherein the copolyamide has a viscosity number (VN(C) ) in the range from 160 to 10 290 mL/g, determined in a 0.5% by weight solution of the copolyamide in a mixture of phenol/o-dichlorobenzene in a weight ratio of 1:1, in molten form in a first extruder, ii) extruding the at least one copolyamide in molten form provided in step i) out of 15 the first er through a die to obtain a film of the at least one copolyamide in molten form, iii) cooling the film obtained in step ii) of the at least one copolyamide in molten form, with solidification of the at least one copolyamide to obtain the polymer film (P). 20
13. The use of the polymer film (P) according to any one of claims 1 to 11 as packaging film.
14. The polymer film (P) according to claim 1, substantially as herein bed with reference to any one of the Examples thereof. 25
