Abstract

Conventionally, capacitors provided in ventilation blowers are housed in metallic coverings to prevent fire spreading in the event of a short circuit. However, such protective cases are typically cumbersome and complex, so there is a need for a ventilation blower that provides both safety and high productivity. This ventilation air blower is provided with: a main body housing provided with an air inlet and an air outlet; an air blower provided inside the main body housing and forming an airflow that flows into the main body housing from the air inlet and flows out of the main body housing from the air outlet; at least one first capacitor box and at least one second capacitor box that are formed as bottomed boxes each having one surface open on one plane opposite to a bottom of the boxes, that store capacitors for controlling an electric motor, and that are made of a non-combustible material. The at least one first capacitor box is provided with a first planar section extending outward from the periphery of the open surface, and is attached to the outside of the main body housing. The at least one second capacitor box is provided with a second planar section extending outward from the periphery of the open surface, and is embedded and installed in the main body housing. The open surface of the at least one first capacitor box is covered by the second planar section, and the open surface of the at least one second capacitor box is covered by the first planar section. This ventilation blower simplifies assembly by reducing the number of parts, improves work efficiency, and reduces cost.
