Abstract
Disclosed is a use of a chimeric protein comprising a chimeric Factor VIII (FVIII) polypeptide in the manufacture of a medicament for treating Von Willebrand Disease (VWD). Said chimeric polypeptide comprising: first polypeptide chain comprising a FVIII protein, a first immunoglobulin constant region; and a second polypeptide chain comprising a von Willebrand Factor (VWF) fragment, a second immunoglobulin constant region, and a cleavable linker located between the VWF fragment and second immunoglobulin constant region; wherein the first and second polypeptides are linked by one or more covalent bonds between the first and second immunoglobulin constant regions.
