Abstract
Provided are dihydroisoquinoline-1-one derivative compounds of formula (I), wherein the variables are as defined in the specification. Examples of the compounds include 6-Chloro-2-pyridin-3-yl-3,4-dihydro-2H-isoquinolin-1-one and 5-Chloro-3,3-dimethyl-2-[5-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-ylmethyl)-pyridin-3-yl]-2,3-dihydro-isoindol-1-one. The compounds are inhibitors of aldosterone synthase. The compounds may be useful in the treatment of chronic kidney disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension, primary aldosteronism and Cushing syndrome.
