It is known to milk dairy cows using a rotary platform having a deck supported by a circular ‘I’ beam. The deck rotates on rollers to move cows through a milking cycle. Such platforms can be prone to tilting forces. For example the deck cantilevers either side of the ‘I’ beam and so if it takes a less than central load then the connection to the ‘I’ beam can come under stress. It is an object of a preferred embodiment of the invention to go at least some way toward addressing this. The preferred embodiment comprises a rotary milking platform 1 having a deck 3, a pair of spaced circular tracks 6, 7 supporting the deck and a plurality of rollers 10 each having a concave portion. Each track 6, 7 is within the concave portions and is able to rotate through the rollers 10.
