Abstract
It is known to cast concrete panels on a casting bed by using sideforms which may be held in place on the casting bed by way of a magnetic clamp. Such magnetic clamps may be in form of a clamp having a moveable handle for moving the magnetic clamp between an engaged condition and a disengaged condition. Often the handle is not used properly as on site workers may reposition the engaged magnetic clamp forcefully by kicking the magnetic clamp or by using a heavy implement such as a hammer which can cause damage to the housing of the magnetic clamp from such treatment. Provided is a magnetic clamp shield 10 for protecting a concrete sideform magnetic clamp 12, wherein the shield comprises a fastening portion 14 for releasably fastening the shield to the magnetic clamp and a cover portion 16 which, in use, extends over a housing 18 of the magnetic clamp to protect the magnetic clamp from impact.
