Abstract

Conventional anchors are fixed in place once cast into a substrate, such as concrete. Repositioning such anchors is time-consuming and expensive as it requires demolishing the substrate, repositioning the anchors and casting new substrate around the relocated anchor. Preferred embodiments of the present invention seek to provide a cast-in-place anchor comprising a first member configured to be cast into and unmovable relative to a substrate, the first member having an elongated cavity; a second member operatively coupled to the first member and moveable along the elongated cavity of the first member when in use, the second member having an elongated cavity; and an anchor member operatively coupled to the second member and moveable along the elongated cavity of the second member, wherein the anchor member is configured to anchor an object relative to the substrate.
