Abstract

A system for monitoring power, comprising: a polyphase distribution transformer monitoring (PDTM) device comprising a control box having at least one electrical connector, the electrical connector coupled to a satellite current sensor via at least one cable and further coupled to the electrical connector is at least one voltage cable, the PDTM device further configured to interface with at least one electrical conductor electrically connected to a transformer, the PDTM device further configured to measure a current and a voltage of the electrical conductors; and logic configured to calculate values indicative of power corresponding to the transformer based upon the currents and the voltages measured and transmit data indicative of the calculated values, the logic further configured to determine a time associated with each current and voltage measured wherein the satellite current sensor comprises arched sections coupled via a hinge and a connector forming an opening through which the electrical conductor may be received and wherein the voltage cable is non-invasively coupled to the electrical conductor
