Abstract

An apparatus (120) for identity verification is disclosed. The apparatus comprises at least one processor (102) and a non-transitory tangible computer readable storage medium (104). The non-transitory tangible computer readable storage medium stores instructions that when executed by the at least one processor cause the at least one processor (102) to: (a)receive at least one item of identity verification data from a user of a device; (b)enable at least one service on the device based on a match between the at least one item of identity verification data received and at least one item of identity verification data obtained previously. The at least one service is a wager-type game. While the at least one service is enabled, the processor (102) obtains at least one item of data from a user of the device. The at least one item of data comprises at least one of: blood pressure, heart rate, pulse rate, body temperature, speech, handwriting, keystrokes, wager amount, menu navigation rate, and body movement of the user. The processor (102) compares the at least one item of obtained data with a set of data, determines that there is a difference between the at least one item of obtained data and the set of data. Based at least in part on determining that there is a difference between the at least one item of obtained data and the set of data, the processor (102) prompts the user for identity verification data. In response to prompting the user for identity verification data, the processor (102) determines that there is a positive user identity verification. In response to determining that there is a positive user identity verification, at least one of (i) increase the size of the set of data and (ii) increase the difference between the data that triggers the prompting of the user for identity verification data.
