Abstract

Disclosed is a touch panel device (12) for a dimmer lighting control system (10). The device (12) comprising a touch sensitive surface (14) capable of detecting movement of a finger or fingers in first and second directions, and a processing means for generating first and second control signals respectively based on this detection. In use, the balance of the load between first and second light circuits and a total light output of both light circuits can be controlled with the same touch panel device (12).
