An apparatus for measuring impedances of a human body is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a plurality of radial base plates (100) or a base plate with a plurality of radial holes cut out (see Fig. 26). The base plate(s) have a plurality of alternately mounted electrode holes and needle holes (H1-H7). A plurality of electrode devices (200) are mounted in the electrode holes and are connected alternately to first (R1, R2, R3…) and second (S1, S2, S3…) electrical lines. The apparatus allows acupuncture points to be analysed by Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT).
