Abstract

Disclosed is a system for tracking the usage of athletic equipment for determining a maximum usage distance and/or time of the athletic equipment using a computer web-based platform. The system includes a database server (106) including a user database (112) for maintaining records of users registered to access the database server (106), and a training log server (116). The training log server (116) receives and stores data from each registered user regarding a category of athletic activity in which the registered user engaged, and receives and stores data from each registered user regarding a distance the registered user trained for a given day for each category of athletic activity. The training log server (116) then receives and stores data from each registered user regarding an amount of time the registered user trained for each category of athletic activity and calculates a time-based total distance for each category of athletic activity. A graphical representation of the calculated time-based total distances is generated and a processor (104) determines whether the user is a registered user based on the records maintained in the user database (112). The processor (104) generates a graphical user interface having a plurality of fields for entering data regarding the use of the athletic equipment used by the registered user such that at least one of the fields pertaining to the date of first use of the athletic equipment by the registered user. ed to access the database server (106), and a training log server (116).
