Abstract

A crate is disclosed comprising a bottom, two end walls and two side walls (108a, 108). Each side wall (108) comprises a continuous hollow stiffening member (126) extending parallel to the lateral edges (118, 120) and at least partly towards the upper edge (122). A stiffening portion (126a, 126c, 126d) extends towards the lower edge (124) and back to the upper edge (122). Each side wall (108) comprises vent holes (110) and the stiffening portion (126a, 126c, 126d) extends towards the lower edge (124) and below the vent holes (110).
