Abstract

A vacuum cleaning machine with multiple rotary heads (114), for liquid extraction, that comprises a rotary drive motor (104), vacuum source (106), evacuation tank (108), handle (112) and wheels(110) contained on the housing (102). The weight of the unit is supported by the rotary heads, when in use. Spray nozzles are provided ahead of the cleaning heads to apply cleaning solution to the floor. The floor engaging base plate may be made of a low friction material, e.g. polytetraflouroethylene (PTFE). The evacuation tank is provided with a sensor that detects when it is nearing full and automatically activates an extraction pump to remove fluid to a remote tank. Effort is made to balance the unit, both longitudinally and laterally, to allow ease of use.
