Abstract

A fluid mixer assembly is disclosed. The mixer accommodates differences in pressure between two feed input water feeds (300, 400). The mixer includes a fluid controller with inlets to receive first and second flows and outlets to outlet those flows controlled in the same or different proportions responsive to its selected control. A manifold with an inlet and an outlet for each of the first and second flows and an inlet and at least one outlet for a mixed flow is also present. An apparatus interposed between the controller and the manifold provides flow paths from the outlets of the manifold each for a separate first and second flow to the respective inlet of the fluid controller, and converging flow paths of the controlled flows from the outlets of the flow controller to provide a mixed flow path into the inlet of the manifold. A venturi may receive a first flow of fluid and a second flow of fluid is introduced to the first flow of fluid near the venturi. The change in pressures induced due to the first fluid passing through a nozzle of the venturi at least in part affects the draw of the second flow of fluid. The venturi can serve several functions including but not limited to, a) at least in part mixing the two or more supply fluids, and b) at least in part compensating for pressure differentials in the supply fluids.
