Abstract

A one piece integrally moulded building block particularly for use in constructing a dry-stacking high performance masonry wall. The block aims to provide spaces for reinforcement. The block is comprised of parallel walls (102, 103) that are transversely spaced from each other so that adjacent walls have opposed inner surfaces and further comprised of at least one cross-wall (106-108) connecting said opposed inner surfaces of the parallel walls (102, 103). The cross-walls (106-108) incorporate intermediate their end regions a recess (116) in their upper surface (115a, 115b). The end regions of the cross-walls (106-108) are compacted wholly below the upper surfaces (102a-105a) of the parallel walls (102, 103).
