Abstract

An apparatus (1) is disclosed for lifting and supporting at least one dive tank and associated gear. The apparatus (1) includes a dive tank holder (2), a lift mechanism (3) connected to the dive tank holder and a base (4). The lift mechanism (3) is at least partly mechanically assisted and is configured to provide a substantially vertical motion only. The lift mechanism (3) is attached to the base (4) which is either free standing and stable when carrying the dive tank(s) or connectable to another support member. The dive tank holder (2) is configured to position the dive tank vertically at a lowermost position, a fitting height or a working height.
