Abstract

586134 Disclosed is an apparatus for providing a siphonic flow from a body of liquid. The apparatus has a tube with an inlet end having a one way valve, an outlet end and a liquid trap adjacent its outlet end. The liquid trap has a jacket attached to the tube. The tube is configured to have a raised zone, in use, between the inlet end and the liquid trap. The liquid trap prevents air from entering the tube from the outlet end such that the tube can remain primed, in use, despite the tube's raised zone between the inlet end and the liquid trap, when the inlet end remains immersed in the body of liquid below the outlet end and the liquid trap.
