Abstract

Disclosed is a transaction terminal monitoring system. The system includes a video recording device (16) for recording transaction video footage of a transaction terminal (1,2,3), a sound detection unit (21), a transmitter (7,8,9) and a receiver (18). The sound detection unit (21) is configured to produce a detection signal in response to the detection of a sound signal. The transmitter (7,8,9) is configured to send a product identification signal indicating product identification upon receipt of the detection signal. The receiver (18) is configured to receive product identification information signals from the transmitter (7,8,9).
