Abstract

A fastener 10 adapted to attach a visual feature 14 to a fabric, the visual feature comprising one of the group consisting of a piece of jewellery, an adornment, name tag, price tag, label, medal, and badge, the fastener 10 comprising a fastener body comprising a shank 16 having first and second ends with first and second end surfaces, respectively, wherein the first end surface is adapted to mount the visual feature to the fastener 10 and wherein the second end surface 13 of the shank 16 is substantially blunt, the shank 16 further comprising first and second portions, the first portion being located between the second portion and the first end surface of the shank 16, the first and second portions each having a periphery, wherein the width or diameter of the periphery of the first portion (d1) is less than the width or diameter of the periphery of the second portion (d2), the fastener 10 further comprising a resilient, deformable fastening means having a central aperture with a width or diameter (d3), wherein d3 < d2 and wherein the fastening means is attachable to and detachable from the shank 16.
