Abstract

An offender tracking system for assisting in the reporting, tracking, detection and subsequent apprehension of persons who fail to pay for services or steal items of property is disclosed. The system includes at least two databases and an associated interface set up by a database administrator, one of the databases containing offender information and the other containing subscriber and account information. A subscriber may gain access to the databases after having been screened and accepted by the database administrator. Subscribers or the administrator may access the databases via the interface, where search facilities are provided. Changes may be made or information may be added by subscribers, while new subscribers may only be added by the administrator.
