Abstract

An arrangement (10) to couple an intravenous hose (12) having a roller clamp (11) with an infusion pump (14) with housing to deliver a medicinal solution into a patient, comprising: a hose clamp (16) that can be coupled with the intravenous hose and can be displaced between an open position, in which the medicinal solution can flow through the hose, d a closed position, in which the hose is closed by the hose clamp; and a device (18) mounted on a door (13) or lid of the housing, that can be engaged with the hose clamp to bring it to the open position from the closed position. The hose clamp has clamping surfaces (17) in the form of legs (19) which can move relative to each other about a hinge, the legs being enveloped on their outside by a biased clamping spring (21). The device is formed by an expander rib, which is fastened to the inside of the door or lid and which can be brought into engagement with and expand the legs of the hose clamp and so produce the open position from the closed position. The housing possesses a receiver (15), into which the hose clamp can be snapped. A locking device (20, 25) is present in the housing that prevents the closing of the door or lid if the hose clamp is not inserted into the receiver and permits the closing of the door or lid when the hose clamp is fully inserted.
