Abstract

An electrical power outlet (10) including a socket portion (12) provided with first attachment means (26) and at least one first aperture (24) for respectively receiving at least one pin of an electrical plug, the socket portion (12) being arranged to cover electrical terminals of the electrical power outlet (10) and a socket cap (14) provided with second attachment means (30) and at least one second aperture (28) for respectively receiving at least one pin of an electrical plug. The first and second attachment means (26,30) are arranged to engage with each other so as to releasably attach the socket cap (14) to the socket portion (12) and thereby cover outwardly facing surfaces of socket portion (12) with the cap portion (14) and the at least one first aperture (24) and the at least one second aperture (28) are disposed on respective socket cap (14) and socket portion (12) such that the at least one first aperture (24) is in register with the at least one second aperture (28) when the socket cap (14) is attached to the socket portion (12).
