Abstract
The specification describes DNA sequences which code for proteins with thermophilic laccase activity, comprising one of the DNA sequences (SEQ ID NO:1, SEQ ID NO:2). The specification also describes the expression of these DNA sequences, thermopilic laccases coded by them and their use in delignifying cellulose, depolymerizing high-molecular aggregates, de-inking waste paper, polymerising aromatic compounds in waste liquids, especially waste liquids from cellulose bleaching, oxidising colourants and activating colourants to produce pigments.
