Abstract

he LEDs 41 to 43 for a vehicle lamp are supported on a circuit board 40 and inserted into a housing 25 including the lens of the lamp unit 10. A backing member 50 is then adhesively secured to the rear of the housing and detachably supports the cable 70 supplying power to the LEDs. The insulation of the cable conductors 71 is bared to a position behind the rear of the backing member so that the adhesive covers the bared conductors at the rear of the backing member to seal the backing member against the housing to form a sealed enclosure.
