Abstract

A carton formed from a blank 10 comprises a locking arrangement 22, 23, for first and second panels 16, 17, respectively. A flap 27 projects from the end edge of panel 16 and an opening 29 is formed in panel 16. Opening engaging means are provided on flap 27 and are constituted by oppositely disposed, laterally extending barbs 35 which engage behind cuts 31 which extend laterally from opening 29. Flap 27 is hingedly connected to the remainder of panel 16 along a fold line 28. Opening 29 divides fold line 28 into two parts and extends part way into the flap. In use flap 27 is passed through a cooperating aperture 24 in panel 17 in an outwardly direction relative to the carton, is folded back over the portion of panel 17 between aperture 24 and the free edge 26 of panel 17 and is inserted into opening 29 in panel 16.
