Abstract

A waste water heat recovery system for a shower includes a heat exchanger 1, 2 where heat from the warm waste water is recovered. The waste water is used to heat incoming cold water. Further heat is recovered from the now cooled waste water by evaporator 2 of a heat pump 4, the heat recovered by the heat pump also being to preheat the incoming cold water at 3 before it enters hot water cylinder 5.
