Abstract

Disclosed is the use of a composition comprising estrogenic and gestagenic components in the production of a monthly injection capable of simultaneous contraceptive and hormone replacement therapy regimes. The combinations of estrogenic and gestagenic components are preferably, norethisterone enanthate/estradiol valerate and medroxyprogesterone acetate/estradiol cypionate, but others are as defined in the specification. Such a composition is useful for both perimenopausal and premenopausal woman.
