Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår et pakke-radiosystem og en fremgangsmåte for å benytte SDMA for kanaletablering. Pakke-radiosystemet omfatter en nettverksdel (100), minsten abonnentterminal (102) og en dupleks- radioforbindelse (104) mellom nettverksdelen (100) og en abonnentterminal (102). Dupleks-radioforbindelsen (104) benyttes for oppsetting av forbindelse og pakkeoverføring. Oppfinnelsen kjennetegnes ved at for oppsetting av forbindelse er nettverksdelen (100) og abonnentterminalen (102) innrettet fora etablere en spesiell kanal (210) med betraktelig lengere rekkevidde enn en normal kanals (200) rekkevidde. Den spesielle kanalen (210) har et bitenergi/støy-forhold som er omkring 5 -12 dB bedre enn den normale kanalens (200).
