Abstract
Oppfinnelsen angår et basestasjonutstyr og en fremgangsmåte for diversitet i et celledelt radiosystem som omfatter sender/mottakere (100 til 106) som kommuniserer med andre sender/mottakere ved hjelp av strålingsmønstere (110 til 116) som genereres av en eller flere antenner. For å oppnå god diversitets-vinning benyttes fortrinnsvis sender/mottaker- antennene i fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen til å generere to eller flere strålingsmønstere med identiske effekt-strålingsmønstere og ulike fase- strålingsmønstere.The invention relates to a base station equipment and a method of diversity in a cellular radio system comprising transmitters / receivers (100 to 106) communicating with other transmitters / receivers by means of radiation patterns (110 to 116) generated by one or more antennas. In order to achieve good diversity gain, the transmitter / receiver antennas in the method of the invention are preferably used to generate two or more radiation patterns with identical power radiation patterns and different phase radiation patterns.
