Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte for dataoverføring, og et basestasjon-system. Fremgangsmåten omfatter overføring av radiogrensesnitt-informasjon (140) over en to- veis datalink mellom en basestasjon (110) og en basestasjon-styringsenhet (120). Ra- diogrensesnitt-informasjonen (140) omfatter signaleringsinformasjon (400), brukerinfor- masjon (420) og feilkontroll-informasjon (404A, 408). Fremgangsmåten kjennetegnes ved at radiogrensesnitt-informasjonen (140) komprimeres for å passe inn i minst en ATM-celle ved å erstatte radiogrensesnitt-informasjonens opprinnelige feilkontroll- informasjon (404A, 408) med enkel status-informasjon (570B). Annen informasjon kan også komprimeres og innføres i ATM-cellen. Realisering av fremgangsmåten eksempli- fiseres i DECT-systemet. Oppfinnelsen angår også de nødvendige anordninger og de- res protokollstabler.
