Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår identifisering av en TRAU-ramme i et mobiltelefon- system. En abonnentterminal sender normalt til en nettverksdel en taleramme som skal plasseres i TRAU-rammen, og når det benyttes avbrutt sending, sender abonnentterminalen til nettverksdelen en SID-ramme som skal plasseres i TRAU- rammen. En TRAU-ramme identifiseres løpende i nettverksdelen på grunnlag av summen av sammenlagte SID-kodeordbiter som en taleramme, en SID-ramme eller en SID-ramme som er forvrengt på radiostrekningen. l samsvar med oppfin- nelsen legges, i tillegg til SID-kodeordbitene de andre TRAU-rammebiter som normalt inneholder tale, sammen i summen, unntatt SID-parameterbitene som representerer bakgrunnsstøy. Istedenfor de tidligere benyttede 95 bitene, benyt- tes 210 biter. Oppfinnelsen implementeres fortrinnsvis ved hjelp av programvare- forandringer i en kanal-kodek.
