Abstract
Foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører et multibærer transmi- sjonssystem, spesielt et DMT-system, hvori data overføres mellom to transceivere ved anvendelse av et flertall av bærere, idet frekvensbåndbredden av systemet er delt mellom nevnte flertall av bærere, idet transmisjonssystemet er tilpasset for drift i et heterogent nettverk inkluderende et antall brukerutstyr som har forskjellige kanalkarakte- ristika og som sameksisterer på den samme kable, idet lengden av kabelen for hver brukerterminal varierer i av- hengighet av deres respektive lokalisasjoner. I samsvar med oppfinnelsen inkluderer transmisjonssystemet allokerings- middel for allokering av trafikken for brukerutstyrene som har kortere kabellengder til toner som starter fra et høyere frekvensbånd av nevnte systembåndbredde.
