Abstract

En silplate (1) for siling av massesuspensjoner omfatter et antall langstrakte, i det minste delvis buede silspalter (3). Ifølge oppfinnelsen har hver silspalte en bredde som er maksimalt 0,8 mm, og silspaltene krummer seg på en slik måte at en rett stang, som har en bredde som er mindre enn bredden av silspalten og en lengde som er 5 mm hindres fra å passere gjennom silspalten når stangen strekker seg langs silplaten, uavhengig av hvordan denne stangen er orientert i forhold til silspalten. Derved kan langstrakt, stiv flis separeres mer effektivt ved hjelp av silplaten. Denne silplaten kan også brukes til å separere en massesuspensjon i en første fraksjon omfattende forholdsvis stive fibre og en andre fraksjon omfattende forholdsvis bøyelige fibre.
