Abstract

Det er beskrevet en fremgangsmåte og et apparat til bestemmelse av veitapet mellom.en basistransceiverstasjon (BTS) og en mobil stasjon (MS) i et mobilradionett. I detalj blir en signalbærer (BCCH) med en overføringseffekt (PTXAV) overført av en førsje basistransceiverstasjon (BTS). Deretter blir signalbæreren (BCCH) som ble overført fra den første basistransceiverstasjon (BTS) mottatt av en mobil stasjon (MS) som er romlig adskilt fra den første basistransceiverstasjon (BTS) og signalnivået (PRXAV) fof den mottatte signalbærer (BCCH) blir påvist av den mobile stasjon (MS). Videre blir det påviste signalnivået (PRXAV ) f°r den mottatte signalbærer (BCCH) overført til en andre basistransceiverstasjon (BTS) for en nabocelle. I tillegg blir det påviste signalnivået (PRXAV) f°r signalbæreren (BCCH) som ble mottatt av den mobile stasjon (MS) sammenlignet med sendereffekten (PTXAV) f°r signalbæreren (BCCH) som ble sendt fra den første basistransceiverstasjon (BTS). Som utgang gis det da et signal som angir forskjellen mellom disse to signalnivåer og denne forskjell er et mål på veitapet mellom den første basistransceiverstasjon (BTS) og den mobile stasjon (MS). Som et resultat blir det mulig på en effektiv måte å bestemme veitapet mellom en basistransceiverstasjon og en mobil stasjon i et celleoppbygget mobilt radionett.
