Abstract
Det er frembragt et brønnloggefluid som har et relativt ikke-ledende fluid og en virksom mengde av en elektrisk ledende fiber som er tilstrekkelig til å modifisere de elektriske egenskapene til det relativt ikke-ledende fluidet hvilket resulterer i et modifisert fluid eller brønnloggefluid slik at et elektrisk brønnloggeverktøy, når det er anordnet i det modifiserte fluidet, kan utføre en elektrisk brønnloggeundersøkelse av et borehull som inneholder det modifiserte fluidet. Det ikke-ledende fluidet er valgt fra gruppen som består av et ikke- vandig fluid og en invert emulsjon av en vandig fase i en ikke-ledende væske. I en invert emulsjon utgjør den vandige delen av denne opptil ca. 70 volumprosent. Det modifiserte fluidet eller brønnloggefluidet har fortrinnsvis en elektrisk stabilitet på høyst 350 volt, og mer å foretrekke høyst 250 volt, slik den måles i samsvar med API RB 13-2. Brønnloggefluidet kan anvendes til elektrisk brønnlogging og avbildning.
