Abstract

The device connects two hollow profiles. It has two rigid end parts fastened to the end faces to be connected. Each part has surface areas (13,14,15), apertures, and projections, which are congruent to those of the opposite part. The apertures in both parts form two continuous cylindrical bores (34), parallel and at a distance to the bending axis (5,6) of the profiles. Projections of the end parts engage over the outer bore ends. Each bore contains a tension rod (17,18), and the outer rod ends (22) support themselves via washers (19) on the projections. The outer surface areas of the end parts are pressed together by the tension rods.
