Abstract

Det omtales et apparat for gjenvinning av olje som flyter på overflaten av vann og som flyter like under over- flaten av vannet, og som skimmer oljen fra overflaten ved at den pumpes fra overflaten til et gjenvinningsfartøy for lagring og viderebehandling. Apparatet omfatter en flottør som er forbundet med en pumpe som omfatter et traktformet innløp i forbindelse med et fleksibelt skjørt som langs sin periferi holdes av flottører og som er posisjonsregulerbar i forhold til vannoverflaten og i forhold til trakten. Det er montert sensorer på gjenvinningsapparatet for å generere data avhengig av en eller flere av systemets kar- akteristika: det hydrauliske trykkfall over pumpen, utløps- trykket fra pumpen, væsketemperaturen i pumpen, olje/vann- blandingens nivå og oljesjiktets tykkelse på vannoverflat- en. Data behandles av en mikroprosessorenhet, enten anord- net på selve apparatet eller et fjerntliggende sted, f.eks. i et landbasert kontrollsenter, og styresignalene genereres for å kontrollere skjørtets flytenivå og/eller pumpehastig- heten. Styresignalene kan også anvendes for automatisk å fininnstille apparatets funksjon. Apparatet er mere effektivt og kan kompensere for ugunstige værforhold og miljøbetingelser.
