Abstract
Det beskrives et i det vesentlige rensel protein, dvs, underenheten (Tbp2) med lavere molekylvekt av den humane transferriiu-eseptoren (HTR) av en N. meningilidis-stamme som er karakterisert ved at det ikke gjenkjennes i en doi blol-analyse av et antisenam til et polypeptid som tilsvarer Tbp2 i N. meningitidis-stamme M982 (Tbp2 M982) hvorfra de hypervariable delene i det andre området er fjernet. Tbp2-underenhelen er karakterisert (i) ved al den kodes av et DNA-fragment på rundt 2,1 kb, og (ii) ved al den har en hengselregion av M982-typen. DNA fragments encoding the new Tbp2 and derived polypeptides are also described.
