Abstract

Process reducing epichlorohydrin (EPC), 1,3-dichloro-2-propanol (DCP) and 3-monochloro-1,2-propanediol (MCPD) content in polyamidoamine epichlorohydrin (PAE) resins comprises passing an aqueous soln. of 2-60% dry weight over a first activated carbon bed until DCP breaks through and over a second activated carbon bed until MCPD breaks through. Also claimed is the compsn. of a paper mfg. additive contg. such purified PAE.
