Typen av løsningskondisjonerer, redusererinnretning og sensor kan varieres med henblikk på bestemmelse av hvilken som helst forutvalgt stoff. Oppfinnelsen vil derfor muliggjøre ved- likehold av sensor ved selektiv modifisering av en sensors egenskaper, hvorved sensoroverflaten endres for å opprett- holde sin integritet.Apparatus for use in determining the amount of contamination or impurity in a liquid sample. The device comprises a conditioner (1) for changing the chemical properties of the liquid sample for easier determination or measurement of a preselected substance, a reducing device (2) for reducing the substance to be traced and a sensor (4) for quantifying the substance in the solution. The type of solution conditioner, reducer, and sensor may be varied for the purpose of determining any preselected substance. The invention will therefore enable sensor maintenance by selectively modifying a sensor's properties, thereby altering the sensor surface to maintain its integrity.
