Abstract
Et dyp-bed oppstrømsfilter (10) omfatter en oppstående beholder (12) med kon-tinuerlige øvre, nedre og mellomliggende regioner (20, 22, 24). The intermediate region contains particulate filter medium (32) for removing suspended solids from the inflow which moves upwards through the medium as the medium moves downwards into the lower region. Lower region contains dirty medium (34) from intermediate region. The inflow is introduced between the intermediate and lower regions and the dirty medium is collected at the bottom and transported to a regenerative washbasin (52). A part of the waste stream (64) from the washing vessel goes to the dirty medium in the lower region of the container and another part (72, 78) goes to the area (46, 48, 50) where the dirty medium is collected and transported.
