Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for utvinning av fast natriumhydrogenkarbonat fra avløpet (1) fra katodekammeret i en diafragmacelle (D- C), og som inneholder natriumhydroksyd og natriumklorid. Avløpet behandles med kar- bondioksyd og ammoniakk (T^) for i hoved- sak å omvandle natriumhydroksydet til na- triumhydrogenkarbonat. Deretter behandles avløpet (2) for å dekomponere ammoniumklo- ridet for å utvikle og resirkulere ammoni- akk uten dannelse av forurensende stoffer (S^) , og det behandlede avløp, som er fritt for NH3, CO2 og alkali, gjenmettes (S) og føres til anodekammeret i diafrag- macellen. The effluent is treated with carbon dioxide and ammonia (T 2) to essentially convert the sodium hydroxide to sodium bicarbonate. Subsequently, the effluent (2) is treated to decompose the ammonium chloride to develop and recycle ammonia without the formation of pollutants (S 2), and the treated effluent, which is free of NH is fed to the anode chamber of the diaphragm cell. In preferred embodiments, all steps are interconnected and the produced materials are recycled so that the only products produced are chlorine, hydrogen and sodium hydrogen carbonate, and no waste products are produced in a continuous process.
