Abstract
Preparations and methods are provided to extend the function of a transplanted allograft and prevent graft rejection. In particular, tolerance of a recipient mammal to a transplanted organ or tissue is induced by treatment with a composition comprising more than one adhesion molecule inhibitor comprising antibodies to the adhesion molecule and corresponding ligand, e.g. antibodies for LFA-1 and ICAM-1. The compositions of the invention can further be used for the treatment of inflammatory reactions, as well as allergies and autoimmune diseases.
