Abstract
Sjiktavsettende gelatinpigg (20) bestående av en gelatinmasse og for bruk ved behandling av rørkonstruksjoner (15). Piggen vil avsette et sjikt etterhvert som den passerer gjennom en rorledning og påfører derved et behandlingslag (21) på rør- ledningens vegg. The spike will deposit a layer as it passes through a pipeline, thereby applying a treatment layer (21) to the pipeline wall. The spike can be formed outside the pipeline or shaped at the point of use. The gelatin spike is then formed by mixing ordinary (i.e. technical) gelatin of the kind derived from collagen, with heated liquid and a treatment solution (eg corrosion inhibitor, friction reducer, etc.). In one embodiment, magnetic particles are drawn into the pulp. The pulp may be uniform or composed of different components of gelatin. A plug of the treatment solution can also be passed through the pipeline between two layer-depositing gelatin spikes. For high temperature applications, a hardener can be used to increase the melting temperature of the gelatin.
